Tips for guessing country names

Open with E, then A. They're the two most common vowels in country names across all difficulty levels. Placing both early gives you a useful picture of the word structure before you spend consonant guesses.

Try N and R early on medium and hard words. Both are extremely common in country names at the longer end — Argentina, Romania, Ukraine, Cameroon all reveal multiple tiles from a single N or R guess.

Look for the -LAND pattern. Finland, Ireland, Iceland and others share this ending. If you've placed I or F and see a six- or seven-letter word, -LAND is worth trying.
