hangmango.net is a product of Silly Games Lab (sillygameslab.com). We operate the free word guessing game at hangmango.net. This privacy policy explains how we handle information when you visit and play our game.
We collect virtually no personal data. hangmango requires no registration, no login, and no personal information to play.
We do use the following third party services which may collect limited data:
hangmango keeps a few things in your browser's local storage so the game works properly. This data never leaves your device except where noted, is not shared with anyone, and is not used for advertising or tracking. It includes your game statistics and daily streak, which categories you played recently, and a randomly generated player ID.
The player ID is a random string with no connection to your name, email or any other identifying information. It exists for one reason: when you submit a score to the leaderboard, initials are only three letters, so two different players might both choose “SAM”. The ID lets the leaderboard tell those players apart and give each of them their own place, rather than merging them into one. It is sent with your score and stored alongside it, but is never displayed and is never returned by our public leaderboard API.
You can clear all of this at any time by clearing your browser's site data for hangmango.net. Doing so resets your stats and streak, and the leaderboard will treat you as a new player.
We display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of third party vendor cookies by visiting aboutads.info.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Cloudflare's analytics are privacy-friendly and do not use cookies or track individuals across sites. No personal data is collected or stored.
hangmango itself does not set any cookies. Cookies may be set by Google AdSense for advertising purposes as described above. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
hangmango is a general audience game suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. We never ask for a name, an email address or any contact details — not to play, not to submit a score, and not to send us a suggestion. The random player ID described above is used solely to keep leaderboard places separate; it is not used to build a profile, and it is not shared with anyone.
